TOK America is committed to protecting the environment, its employees and its neighbors. Further, we are equally committed to continual improvement of our environmental management system and the prevention of pollution.

As TOK America is aware of its responsibility to the environment, employees and neighbors, we have decided upon the following principles to guide our business decisions:
  • Our environmental policy is an important part of TOK America operating strategy and is considered in decision-making processes.
  • We are committed to comply with the environmental legislation relevant for our company’s activities, as well as compliance with all applicable environmental permits, regulations and other requirements.
  • Our employees are responsible for the protection of the environment in their own area of control. Awareness of environmental issues is promoted through information exchanges and training.
  • We strive to reduce the impact to the environment during manufacturing and shipment of our products.
  • We apply our environmental principles to the qualification of our suppliers and purchasing, where possible.
  • We advise our customers with regard to the environmental aspects of our products.
  • We assess the environmental impacts of our business and analyze new activities prior to implementation accordingly.
  • We respond to environmental issues from employees and the public as well as make this policy available to the public.
  • This policy is used to provide a framework for setting and reviewing our environmental objectives and targets.
